The Grow Your Own Lunchbox Challenge is back!

Now in its third year, the Lunchbox Challenge – proudly supported by New Brighton Farmers Market –  sees local schools come together at the Mullumbimby Farmers Market to share their school garden stories, and then compete to make the best lunchbox using ingredients from their school garden.

Last year, we were thrilled to give away almost $3000 in prizes, which went toward supporting the participating schools’ kitchen garden programs, and this year we’ll have a similar amount of prize money on offer.

Who will come up with the Best Lunchbox of 2017?

Join us at the Mullumbimby Farmers Market on Friday November 3, and see some of the amazing things happening in our local school gardens. It’s an opportunity to celebrate our wonderful schools and show your support for teaching our children about food and where it comes from.
