Certified organic seasonal vegetables grown all year close to Byron Bay
Kennedys Lane Farm has been the home of a certified organic market garden for approximately 15 years now. KLF supplies fresh organic produce to the Byron community predominantly via their local farmer’s markets and a few other local retailers. In mid-2020, Evan Anderson began share farming at KLF with the dedicated help of Heather Hillier and Bethanie Jolly and the ongoing support of Uri the farm owner. Evan’s Agroecology approach entails an emphasis on developing soil and ecological health through advanced companion planting and cover cropping. All of this and more is done in a production system where research is combined with real-life challenges and practices.
Beyond producing high-quality nutrient-dense food and regenerating land health, KLF is fast becoming a place where aspiring farmers can learn and experiment with developing ecologically-oriented food systems, whilst assisting with the much-needed food security in our region.
